My mother Maria (Marian)Makamul was born in Arad
in October 1902. She came to the U.S. on the SS
Carpathia in August of 1912 with parents Mathias
and Anna and 4 sisters and one brother. I would
like to find out more about the origin of the Makamul
family. I believe that they may have lived in Temesvar
before coming to America.

I have enjoyed looking at all of the Arad historical
information. My father was born in Tipar (Szaparliget)
20th. July 1894, name Sandor Oz. He immigrated to
US 29 Oct. 1913 eventually became a police officer
and raised family of 7 kids. He attended 6 years
of common school and 2 of high school in Arad county.
Would appreciate any information relating to him.
