an descendent of Cardinal Lorenz Schlauch-Linden.Today

My
grandfather, Johann Quirsfeld, was born in Arad
County (Jacobeni) and came to this country around
1900. Recently learned I have a cousin in Arad
by the name of Dan-Reinhardt Quirsfeld. We have
corresponded but I have not heard from him in
over a year. I hope he or a friend sees this
message. Am very interested to learn more about
our ancestors who lived in Arad since late 1700s.
Someday I will come to see for myself. Until

a pleasure to see ARAD again. I'm a Romanian
by Birth and now residing in Toronto, Canada.
Visited ARAD many many times and always renew
my ties and love for ROMANIA and all the country
has to offer....I also know that most ROMANIAN
do not agree with me both living abroad and
in Romania...,but that just my opinions anyway.
I guess, you have to be away from your mother
land to appreciate the offering what it has

Tag an Alle!!! Vor gut 16 Jahren habe ich, mit
dem Fahrrad von Ungarn kommend, zum ersten Mal
in Arad auf dem Campingplatz übernachtet. Habe
dort zwei andere Radfahrer aus der damaligen
DDR kennengelernt. Wir sind dann zusammen ein
gute Strecke in das Innere von Rumänien gefahren...
Dort habe ich dann zahlreiche Schwierigkeiten
meistern müssen, Essen, Schlafen und eine außerodentliche
Hitze. Ein junges Mädchen hat mir versucht zu
helfen, indem sie mich bei Verwandten für eine
Nacht unterbringen wollte - ich habe sie allein
gelassen, da ich mir Sorgen wegen der rumänischen
Geheimpolizei machte und ihnen keinen Ärger
machen wollte. Ich habe in diesem Land einige
wichtige Erfahrungen für mein Leben machen können.

Astazi dimineata am povestit clientilor mei
din sectia de psihiatrie despre meleagurile
unde m-am nascut si le-am promis ca le voi da
mai multe amanunte in zilele urmatoare.(bineinteles
ca au stiut mumai despre Dracula!)Acum numai
ce ne- am conectat la inernet si primul site
ce l-am gasit despre Romania este Aradul! Asa
ca acum vom avea o database la care vom putea
gasi minunate detalli si photografii din judetul
Arad. E bine ca acum nu voi mai fi intrebata
numai despre Dracula. Site acesta e excelent
si din alte puncte de vedere: in special pentru
cei care au plecat de mult timp din tara ca
noi, ne mai linisteste dorul...Definitiv, am

1981.Mai tirziu,amintiri frumoase i-au rezervat
un loc aparte in inima mea si, nu in ultimul
